Way Ahead - Music event tickets. Search by area, band, or dates for all the events you may want to go and see. The layout is very clear and ordering is simple.

Ticket Master - Tickets for everything. Concerts are arranged by alphabet and stick to the mainstream bands and venues. Don't use this ite to find obscure tickets, but great for everything else.

NME Tickets - Concert tickets. If you search by area, the results are in alphabetical order, but only five at a time. Specify by the name of the band. Loads of NME news and reviews.

First Call Tickets - Seats for concerts etc. Slow to come up with details and a strange mix of events. Had some tickets for the most popular concerts, but booking is confusing.

NME - Offers more than the magazine. News, reviews, reports by fans, and chance to buy CDs. Searchable database of past news.

Rough Guides Music Homepage - Books on music. Selling the books via this site is a good idea, although they have published the Rough Guide To Rock (surely the most popular) in its entirety online.

Music365 - "News, features, articles. " The day we checked this site out, legend Simon Le Bon was online. Features chart news and latest releases.

Top Of The Pops - Latest from the BBC. Check this week's line up and also read the latest gossip from inside Radio One.

Big Mouth - Up to date news. Music news almost as it happens. Loads to go at, including links to band home pages.

Classical Net - Classical music site. Information from a vast database about classical music. Search by genre or composer, and buy CDs online. Includes links and articles.

Tony Santiago's Dance Nation - Dance music site Over 2000 dance music links from around the world, collected ion one spot for easy browsing.

Jazz Continuum - Guide to jazz. Where to see performances, how to start to play, news, articles, profiles.

Unsigned Music - Much heralded site. Gives new bands the chance to gain fans. One day you could be watching Antihistimine Daydream on Top of The Pops.

Creation - News on the bands signed to this label. Online magazine format giving all the latest on numerous bands, most notably the reformed Oasis.

Wonderwall - Links to all Indie pages. Vast number of links to your favourite band sites. Offers explanations as to the roots of Indie.

Remote Music - Site for downloading music. Cleanly designed new site that offers downloads. Only had Cliff Richard available when we had a look, but don't let that put you off.

Deceptive - Record label site. Elastica and Idlewild are signed to this label, whose site offers band news, CD sales and fanzines.

ebop - "General music site, with student overtones." Focusses on clubs and student activities. Online radio available as well as a forum for swapping DJ, club and other info with fellow users.

Kiss This Guy - Directory of misheard lyrics. Amusing site where people admit to their inability to decipher song words. Search by song or artist, or use random lyric button for some really funny moments.

Anagram Genius - Glorious fun. Rearrange band names. Spice Girls have 'Crispi legs', like the Rolling Stones? 'Seen. Got No Thrills'.

Woodstock69 - For those of you who want to relive this festival. Or for those just too young to be there first time around, photos, stories, memorabilia and reunions.

The Album Covers Page - Classic covers. Large list of covers, all with pictures, so you can view and print presumably.
